Born in Long Beach, California, and proud of her first-generation Mexican-American heritage, Vanessa began her healthcare career as a pharmacy technician, nurse assistant, and licensed practical nurse before advancing into registered nursing.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Northern Arizona University in 2018 and started her career in the Emergency Department and Orthopedic Trauma. She later pursued her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Northern Arizona University in 2021, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Her clinical experience spans emergency medicine, women’s health, acute retail care, and urgent care, which provided her with a broad foundation before transitioning into otolaryngology.
